Mathur Aqueduct is a remarkable engineering landmark built in 1966 to carry irrigation water across the Pahrali (Parazhiyar) River. Stretching nearly 1 km and standing about 115 feet above the valley on 28 massive pillars, it is one of the longest and tallest trough aqueducts in Asia.
